Cider
Cider is an emblematic drink in Brittany and its trail can be followed by embarking on « La route du cidre » (“the cider trail”) where the only ciders of Brittany bearing the words “Appellation d’Origine Protégée (AOP)” (registered designation of origin) can be found, one of which being produced in Riec-sur-Bélon !

In doing so, you will discover a bitter-sweet cider golden orange in colour with fine bubbles, fruity, floral and spiced flavours.
You will also observe the changes the apple trees undergo with each season, from the appearance of the first flowers in the spring, the growth of apples during the summer then their crop to the fall of the leaves in autumn and bear apple trees in winter.
The cider trail designed for the Cornouaille AOP cider invites you to meet the ten producers involved in its production whilst discovering Cornouaille, its coastline, its land, its towns of remarkable architecture and its myths.
Your tour will take you to the south part of the Country of Quimperlé thereby passing through the town of Riec-sur-Bélon where you will discover an area between land and sea dug by the ria of Bélon and ria of Aven. There you will enjoy a natural environment filled with calm, beauty where the small picturesque ports of Rosbras and Bélon are nested giving the opportunity to taste another emblematic product of Riec-sur-Bélon, the Bélon oyster.
